Farmer Cade's Watermelon

This year, Paw Paw made a large garden at the barn. Cade chose to plant some watermelon and Beau chose carrot seeds...(carrots take a while!) But here are pictures of us enjoying the first fruits of Cade's watermelon crop! Honestly, these have been the sweetest watermelons we have ever tasted! Good Job Cader!

My Little Fish

Just a few photos of what we do around the house on those steaming hot summer days...the days that we aren't at Nee Nee's pool, that is. The boys have become excellent swimmers, going underwater, and impressing their mother with their excellent skills!

Blue Tailed Skink

In our house, we like bugs, frogs, lizards...you name it. Not only do we like them, but we study them, check out books on them and of course watch shows about them. I am convinced my boys will go into some kind of animal science work...or be rock stars and act like animals, but I digress. In our backyard, I had spotted this little lizard but he was just too quick for me to catch for my boys. So, one day we were out playing and Beau caught him with his bare hands! So we kept for about an hour in a jar, did a little research on him and then, released him. Beau was so proud of himself...and I was too.

Cade's BOO BOO!

So, here is the after shot of Cade's stitches the head. He accidentially was hit in the head by Beau with pair of firing range headphones. Randomly, it left a gash which needed stitches. Thank God for Vanderbilt Children's Hospital...they were so great with Cade. And my brave little boy, did awesome. Not even one tear! Now, it has healed well and hopefully won't leave too bad of a scar. Poor little Cader.
