This morning was a long anticipated day. Beau's first day of preschool. He was super excited to help me pack his lunch box, wear his tennis shoes and of course his baseball cap. He even obliged me by posing for roughly 40 pictures of him. I was completely calm and settled as we pulled into the parking lot and got out of the car, I simply noticed how "big boy" he looked. The tears began to stream and I said, "Beau, you are look like such a big boy." And he said "Mom, does that make you sad?" And I said "Well, a little." And he said, "But Mommie, I will always be your baby." And that's when I lost it...and still do when I think about it. I hugged and said, "You are so right." And this time, Beau really hugged me back. He was so gracious to me today...like he knew he was ready but wasn't sure if I was. I don't know if I'll ever be. I love you Beau Man.

My Day with Cade

After we dropped Beau off at his preschool, things were pretty quiet and somber. Cade didn't want to leave Beau's preschool, or maybe he just didn't want to leave Beau. Nonetheless, we both really missed Beau. So I decided to take Cade to the park and play with him. Besides, I never have done that before and this was a day of new beginnings. Yet, when we get to the park, there is no one there and it was awfully quiet there too. So I tried to get Cade to smile in this photos, but not a whole lot of luck. He was missing his big brother.
Once we were all done at the park, we did a few errands together and enjoyed a free lunch at O'Charley's. I had a great time in spite of missing the leader of our pack.

Summertime in GA

We enjoyed some low-key hang out time with my family in Georgia. My dad was also down visiting so the boys were able to ride on yet, another of Paw Paw's tractors! We also visited my mother and step-father, Mark at their home. We all loved swimming in their pool, which felt almost as hot as the air, but still refreshing. We grilled out yummy hamburgers and hot dog, and not to mention ALL the fixins to go with it. Afterwards, we celebrated Mark and I's August birthdays together. Notice the funny glasses, we get a little silly sometimes!
