Best Buds

I love it that my boys are so close in age. Now, don't get me wrong, at first being 21 months apart was difficult, especially for the first three months of Cade's Colicky Life. But all is past, and its really wild around here...in a good way. We can all ride bikes together, no more diapers, no more naps (unless mandated by grumpy parents) no more babies. Just two little brothers who love and fight. They play together and explore together, experiencing life together. And I think that's cool. So for all you new moms of toddlers close together, don't lose hope. Those babies of yours, do grow up. Fast.

Monkey Faces

The beginning of every spring these beautiful purple flowers pop up EVERYWHERE. Growing up down in Georgia, they were known as "Monkey Faces". Why, you ask? Well, if you look really close the tiny purple petals look like a face of a monkey. I tried to get a shot of one but don't have best lens for that, so I tried. But if you have these coming up in your area, give one a look-see. You'll see it. Its a blessing a I get to see everyday, as I am showered with monkey faces and dandelions by the cutest little boys ever.

My Little GQ Model

Ok, so I know I am a little partial because he is my son, but my camera loves him too. He photographs well. One reason is because the sweet boy is just plain agreeable. He likes to see his picture after it is taken (this digital generation, so spoiled.:) ) And I admit, he can be coaxed into a picture or two in trade for a treat...I know, shame on me! But hey, can you blame me? He's only three once, and I have to capture his sweet spirit any way I can. So here are my favorites, and I just couldn't choose one. Could you?

P-A-R-T-Y!

Beau celebrated his 5th birthday with all his friends from preschool. What fun we all had! Cade enjoyed making the cupcakes for the party and he loved to be able to sit in music time too!

Beau's Big Boy Birthday...#5!

I can't believe I have a five year old, soon to start Kindergarten in a few months. Well, I'll save my thoughts on that for another post. But for now, I still have a preschooler, a little boy who has the soul and brain of a grown man, and the heart of a lion. Beau, you are my delight. I can't imagine life without you and without you, I wouldn't be me. Happy Birthday Toot.

A Sonic Blue-Coconut Slush from Sonic malfunctioned...

Push-Up Fun

Here's what a couple of push-ups and a mom with a camera can do...
Pretty sweet, I think.
