A Box of Pasta...& a Kitten

So you know you do this too...make a list for the dreaded Wal-Mart trip. And you come out with alot more than what was on your list, right? Well, that was me...again. But this time was different. You see, we had made the "Family Wal-Mart" trip just the night before, and I forgot to buy a box of pasta for dish I was making for a neighbor who just had a baby. So, Denny and I had date night dinner plans and I had him "swing" by Wal-Mart before our dinner.
As we both approach the entrance we see a crowd of children standing around. I thought it was some kind of fundraiser, until we see what was in the box. Free Kittens! Now, most of you know, we lost our very beloved El Gato last October. We wanted to get a kitten sometime, or should I say Denny did. Its not that I didn't want one, its just...well, I just prayed that day, that I would loosen up a bit more in life...and Denny prayed that the right opportunity would come along for us to have a kitten. And so that is how prayers works...pretty darn good. The only kitten we held, ended up being our beloved Smokey.
Just in case you are wondering, I did get my pasta...along with a bag of kitten food, and toys. Not to mention, the kitten went to our dinner party as well.

Our Smokey could not be a more perfect fit to our family. Sweet, definitely playful and aggravating to even, my boys and just a joy to have.
