Fun at Ring Farm
This year was our 5th year visiting Ring Farm. Each year as the boys get older, it just keeps getting more and more fun! One of the favorites is the tall pipe slide, along with all the dirt, hay and rocks you can play with. Not to mention, the corn and cotton field they loved to run through. Beau and Denny shot some corn out of the corn cannon and of course we all climbed the mountain of hay! To end the evening, we enjoyed the hayride through the "haunted" woods...thankfully, not too "haunted". Trying to get the boys to smile at the camera or together at the same time, was just asking too much with all this fun happening all around them! But I think the pictures captured the essence of my little boys lovin' a little Fall fun.

The "Big Hill" and "Cannon"
One beautiful day this week, the boys and I enjoyed the weather by climbing what we now know as the "Big Hill". It is a Historic Confederate Battlefield and I hate to say it, but I drive past it at least once a day, and I had never been to it. So being me of course, I took my camera and my boys along to go explore. So glad I did. We love being outdoors and getting "our" or should I say..."their" energy out. At the top of ridge there sits an old cannon, which peeked my eldest son's attention. You should have heard me trying to my inquisitive four year old about war and the functions of weapons...yeah, next time, I will bring their daddy along.

Flyin' in PP's Plane...
The boys are so blessed to not only live so close to their grandparents, but to also be influenced by their grandparents interests and years of experience. Denny's father, PP, is a pilot and excellent craftsman. He constructed airplanes for Beau and Cade and recently we went for a beautiful ride in the clouds one evening. This was Beau's 3rd time up in PP's plane, so he went without Mom. But it a first for Cade! He was so mesmerized by it all, and enjoyed every minute of it! The boys were able to visit their little planes too! The last picture is one of Beau when his plane was first finished. He was only 9 months old and now he won't be able to fit it much longer!
As far as my father goes...well, that is for another post on tractors!

...Trucks...
Last weekend was our 4th year participating in Touch-A-Truck, a county wide "hands on" event offering any type of truck you can think of! Free for kids to come and sit in any truck they want! We do it every year and the boys enjoyed it again this year! There are also giveaways, face painting, magic tricks and so on happening all around! Here are just a few snapshots of our morning!

...Tractors!
After Touch-A-Truck, the boys and I joined Paw Paw for our 4th year at the Antique Tractor Show. Since Cade adores, and I say that lightly, tractors...he was in hog heaven! Paw Paw had entered two of his antique tractors into the show, one of which he and Cade were able to ride in the Power Parade together. Beau and I opted to ride in the hay wagon! Some nice man even let the boys drive one of his tractors!
We always love going to the Tractor Show and especially since the boys are old enough now to really get into it! We also enjoyed getting to spend some good time with Paw Paw too! Can't wait 'til next year!

Random...
These are just a few pics of the things we may or may not do throughout our day.
Photo #1: Beau hardly ever naps...but this day, he did. And I took this sweet picture to remind me of how precious my firstborn looks sleeping.
Photo #2: Beau and Cade making a pond for their new toy snakes...its a boy thing...outfit changes followed.
Photo #3: Cade listening to Denny's old iPod with all their favorite songs on it...Believe it or not, this is the hot item in the house right now. My 4 year old and 2 year old having to share an iPod...sheesh, I just got one 6 months ago.
